It's been a busy week up at the site.
On Friday, Norm and Spencer poured the basement/slab-on-grade and used the remaining concrete in the load to form the exterior stair landing/approach.
On Saturday, I met my Montana-based lumber supplier at the site to take delivery of 1500 sq. feet of blue (beattle) stained pine that we will use on the upstairs ceiling and selected (tbd) spots throughout the interor. There's also a big pine beam on top of the pile (covered in plastic) that I'll use for the fireplace mantle.
Good progress is being made on the septic installation. That tanks are in and the sand for the drain field has been delivered and will be installed this week.
The weather is turning much colder, and there's a chance of snow pretty much every day for the rest of the week.

And on Monday we took advantage of an empty dump truck trip by the septic installer to transport one-and-half crushed rock that we'll spread on the driveway.
